baby b is finally here!!

We had a semi-false alarm on friday night - 7/29 - at about 10:30. I started contracting, every 5ish minutes, lasting around a minute +, consistently for over an hour -- they told us to come on to the hospital. We took our time and showed up close to 2am, only to head back home around 3:30 and wait out the 'early labor' at home. My Mom, Dad and Sister were already loaded up in the car and made the 6 hour drive through the night - just in case!!

Here we are headed into the hospital - wondering if we were having a baby that night or not!

After 2 more days of consistent contractions, a weekend of waiting, wondering, hanging out with family, walking, swimming....we called the OB Monday morning to see what we should do. They said, once again, to come on in to the hospital. 

This time I had progressed and we were admitted that morning around 10:30 on August 1st

Here were are...getting closer!  We hung around for quite some time, until close to midnight when it was 'time' for B's arrival!

7lb 13 oz

21.5 inches long

born at 12:28 am on August 2nd!

Hudson was nameless for a while - but by the end of his birthday (we had almost 24 hours to think) we were determined to have a name!

Hudson's birthday was celebrated by our family and friends who had to drive and fly from near and far to wait for his arrival. He is so loved :)  and we are so grateful to have family and friends that will sit in uncomfortable waiting room chairs for hooouuuurrrs on end for us and him!

ahhahahaha...squishy face. i couldn't help it. 

We got to head home on the 3rd with our little man

 Eloise met her brother as soon as he arrived. She was definitely not too sure about him at first - he was screaming and she just couldn't figure out what he was. Now when he cries, she comes running, licking his toes and cries with him - such a good little mama

Hudson at 3 days old

We had his first pediatrician visit Friday morning and everything checked out perfectly!

We've taken over 500 pictures. I spared you. Don't worry, I am sure this is only the beginning of my photo dumping :)
