not gonna lie...

...I was kind of hoping for a good cry picture. But as always, Hudson gave us his best concerned look - with no tears. Not one.

Oh well. Better luck for the cry face next year???

busy time of year

Life is as busy as ever, but filled with wonderful things!  Patrick and I took a quick trip to Atlanta to pick up some furniture and were able to have dinner with a great friend. I stayed for Emily's bachelorette party - and had such a good time with new and old friends.  Pat had the kids the night I was away and made Hudson some delicious spaghetti - some of the funniest pictures I have ever been texted!

Courtney came in town to visit and for Emily and William's wedding. She got to cuddle with Emma Kate 2.0...the upgrade. Her last visit with EK made her not want children - this time went a little smoother :)

a baby and a big boy - emma kate 4 months old

For a while I had two babies in this house. Out of nowhere, my first baby is now a big boy. I don't know what it is but lately he just looks so big! Not to mention he is very good at throwing temper tantrums, doing mischievous things, prefers to eat with utensils and likes to 'assist' you while you are dressing him and putting his shoes on every day.

new discoveries

A lot of new things going on around here!

Hudson found a plant!!

...and rubbed the dirt into the carpet.

This was after uprooting another one and pulling the leaves off of the third one. But yes, I did have them on the ground...should've known better!

It may be hard to see - but the 'special guest' at the Children's Museum on Sunday was Pat!

That means we got in for FREE! It was such a nice day...actually hot outside - and Hudson got to explore all over the museum for the afternoon. He even got to slide with his Daddy - his first time on a slide!! The pictures are on Pat's phone...

Patrick came home from work, was loving on the babies, and started playing Patty Cake with EK. All of the sudden we heard the sweetest little laugh. Thankfully she thought it was as funny the second time so we could catch it on video!
