grayton

My side of the family has always taken a beach vacation every summer. When I say every summer...like every summer. Then this girl we all know had to go and get pregnant. Over and over again. Delivering at the end of summer. Two times in a row.

It's so nice to be back in the swing of things - vacationing at Grayton Beach this September -- with all of my crazy family :) It may have been a little cloudy and rainy, but we had the best time!

And a few of my favorite photos....

This picture may look as though a small hand threw that sand in Hudson's face...but it may have been one of his parents -- of course it was an accident -- but could my sister have taken a picture at a better time!?!

Meet Nora. Better known around here as Nona 'stink eye' Ingram.

There is a series of pictures leading up to this moment and a few after. I will share my #1 favorite.

Last but not least. Another treasure from my sister's phone - Pat says (in his best Arnold Schwarzenegger voice) "Look at my huuuge muscles!"
Doesn't it look like he is flexing and puffing out air??!! Gives me a good laugh :)

Until next year!

august whirlwind

Birthdays, a road trip, and fun outside in the heat -- August has been a busy month!

After the birthday party weekend we celebrated Emma Kate's real birthday

Her one year check up showed what we already are well aware of...she's a little bit scrawny :)

Best part of turning 1 -- she got dairy introduced back into her diet!!

first yogurt

first goldfish!

and cheese bread!

Choo choo!! Hudson lines things up. Often. This is his choo choo and Sissy was placed as the caboose!

Not only do we line things up, we make a lot of "towaahs" around here ("towers" for those who don't speak toddler)

We had a nice long visit in Birmingham this month. Tons of play time with cousins and friends - everyone was worn out by the end.

Emma Kate has mastered picking through Lucky Charms to find the best part...the marshmallows. As you see, the rest get thrown to the side..

I had a nice dinner with this girl I know. She happens to be a fabulous artist. And may or may not be related to me...
While we walked around after dinner (CHILD FREEEEEEE thanks to my parents) we happened upon this lovely store. Peeking through the locked up door, what did we see??!
Her beautiful art hanging - for sale - now go buy some!

time with "pop pop" as Hudson calls him

and Great Grandaddy and Marilyn

Last time Nicole and I saw each other there were 2 little boys....the children keep multiplying!
She drove alone from NC and I drove alone from Savannah - we didn't get to visit too long, but it was all worth it!

Bet you can't do that from memory...

Hudson spotting bees...

and another one beeeeee

and another one beeeeee

Crab leg feast thanks to my Grandparents! Do you see the child begging for more?? She may be tiny but she loves some good food!

I came home with a few more pieces of art - I love my new additions - fields with hay and my new cow :)

 Now, on to September!
