better late than never

Mom and Dad B gave me a gift card for my birthday...yes eight months ago... and I finally picked out a few things.

I got a monogrammed market tote and a platter

I was so excited when my platter showed up at my door right before we left for the beach!

So cute. 

I loved the navy damask and let Patrick pick out the monogram color. I think we did a darn good job.

I am trying to patiently wait to see this little monster, his sister, their parents and my mom and dad for our beach trip!!!! Can't come soon enough!

overdue 'do

Well. It's that time again.  Mophie got her 'hair did' and it was much needed. She now purrs when you pet her again! She may be chilly, but I am sure she feels better with out all of those mats in her hair.

a steal

Something comes over me when I enter a mall. I morph into a different person each time. Sometimes I am rational, reasonable, and then other times I lose all control. This time, thankfully, it was in the JCrew sale rack...which means I didn't do too bad - and always give Patrick fair warning that I am trying on clothes, shoes, whatever comes my way.

But this trip --- I came out with an $80 pair of shoes for...

$17.00!!!!

All I wear are flip flops, and flat shoes these days. So it's about time I put some heels back on. I also justified it because Eloise ate a pair of my wedge shoes from Banana Republic at the beginning of summer - these are (much cheaper) replacements :)

Being 21 seems like so long ago

...considering after a night out my body takes 24 hours + to recover, including a long nap and a full nights sleep. 

We were so happy to spend a weekend in Savannah with everyone to celebrate Michael turning 21 (we'll get to that later......) and Emory and Grayson's 2nd birthday!!

Adele made the girls this awesome cake. I am still amazed. She is very talented.

Lillian has gotten so big. She is the calmest, most easy going girl I have ever seen. She just takes it all in. 

I didn't want to mix up these beautiful girls and sweet innocence with the rest of this post. So they got to start it all out and be separated by this paragraph. 

Let me tell you. We had a really good time celebrating Michael's birthday. I wish I could post all of the pictures and tell all of the stories, but I probably should keep my mouth shut ;)

I just had to go ahead and post this picture. Because I think it's the cutest thing ever. I just love love love her little haircut!! Here's the whole story for you. And that would be why this picture has a beautiful pink tint to it. Apparently it covers the flash. Silly people...they should've put a bigger hole around the camera...

We celebrated one of Pat's co-fellows (not sure that word is 'correct' but best way to describe it) birthday's after cleaning up Elle's leftovers from her snack. Everyone met up at a place in The Hill (Italian area in STL) to eat, drink, and play bocce ball. When we got home Eloise was just a chipper as ever. No upset stomach or anything. 

The day after Killer's swim my car was beyond disgusting. Maybe not quite as gross as after our canoe trip last fall (if you recall...Eloise got a bit car sick. On me. And my seats. And the center console. Sick.).  Patrick and I had brunch then tried to find a car wash. The one I knew of was closed so we stopped here.

I was wearing a sundress and it hindered my bending and cleaning.. no one wants to get flashed on a Sunday morning.

So Pat 'super washed' my car. I have never ever used one of these drive up things before. It's very tricky. It says $1.50. So you put your coins in, and then they decide to let you know you only have 3 minutes. THREE MINUTES?? To was this whole car??!

Turbo Patrick got to business. He flew through the steps (we may or may not have had to put more money in - but still. He was moving real fast) and my car came out sparkling!

Have I ever told you that I have the best husband ever??
