a little different...

This July 4th was a little different than last year. We've been in Savannah for a year, there is no heinous wallpaper in our kitchen or bathroom, the den is no longer the color of poop -- oh, and we have an 11 month old :)

Last year my family was here frantically de-wallpapering, painting, scraping, painting some more, removing drywall, replacing drywall, unpacking and organizing for their oh-so-pregnant daughter. Thanks to them it was all fixed up in time for us to bring a baby home.

So here we are! 1 year later - this time the Ingram's got to visit without being put to work :)

There was baby pool time, walks to the playground, beach visits, fireworks, grilling, a little swimming for Eloise and a lot of playing!

father's day

We stopped off in Atlanta on our way home from Birmingham for a Father's day surprise. G Love was performing at the midsummer music festival and Pat had missed one of his concerts in St Louis a few years ago - so it was time to make it up to him! An added bonus was seeing Chetana - and she thankfully let us all crash at her place. Hudson was a trooper, partying until 10:30 at the concert!

vacation

First - look at these hydrangeas - from my house - definitely my favorite flower...besides snap dragons...

Patrick and I had a much needed vacation to my favorite place - the beach! We went to Rosemary beach while Hudson partied in Birmingham.

Of course you have to stop and get some peaches (and ice cream!) from Peach Park on the way

Ahhhh...heaven.

We sat on the beach, ate good food, had frozen yogurt, rode our bikes, people watched and enjoyed every minute of our trip

Uncle Pat is the best. He was dressed up like a rock star by MC and Paddy - such a good sport

We were so thankful that we had a vacation alone and Hudson enjoyed some time away from his parents, too :)

weekend in the sunshine

It was such a nice weekend here in Savannah. Callie, Patrick, Hudson and I went to Tybee to meet up with some friends for a beach day. Let me tell you...people watching = win. Hands down some of the best. people. watching. ever. Thankfully our friend Chetana let us bum off their condo/porch to take it all in at the end of the day. Round 2 of a beach visit for Hudson was a success again.

This little guy loves to 'jump' the waves. He took one to the face and not a tear was shed - he just blinked a lot and had a nice saline nasal rinse for the day...
